No chance to get pics, but when I was picking up our new Durango, I saw the following:

E36 M3 convertible

BMW M6 convertible (in brown no less)

Brand new Merc CLS550

S3 Lotus Esprit (!!!)

I'd never seen ANY of these in the wild before. Yesterday was a good day.

I have two coworkers with near identical Durangos. What do you think of it?

Durangos are built super tough. I found my mom a '99 Durango about three years back for $800, with less than 100k on it, that needed engine work. It's been fixed up, but it has a cracked head on it now. We had to take it 60 miles out of town and back, and it still did well. We got our blue Durango in Feb of 2014 and we've put almost 22k on it since, and it's been a tank as well, but it's starting to fall apart as far as the suspension is concerned. It still drives alright, and serves its purpose. It's got about 151k on it now. It has a rebuild title, and from the way it looks and drives, I'm thinking flood damage, but I keep forgetting to run the VIN. We paid about $2200 for it when we bought it.

The one we bought yesterday, we haven't really driven. Paid $1000 for it. 222,006 miles on the body, and the engine has 50-something thousand on it. Starts right up. It's got some rust and wear, and needs some fixing up, but it definitely seems to be a great vehicle.

Your coworkers made good choices with the Durango. They are absolute tanks, and will take insane amounts of punishment and keep going. They're not going to be refined like some other vehicles, and they're certainly not a smooth driving machine, but they are tough. If you can find one with little to no rust, and a good drivetrain, I'd say it would be a good purchase.
